Waldoboro, ME - last show!

I actually wrote this blog post on the plane the other day, but I forgot to post it! So Here it is the post I know you have been desperately awaiting!!

We arrived to our last gig of the tour around 5pm for sound check. We have played The Waldo Theatre before, so we were familiar with the space. We sound checked and everything sounded great. We ate the food that The Narrows Tavern provided for us, and we were on at 7:30 to a sold out venue. I think we sounded awesome, probably the best we sounded all tour, and the crowd seemed to enjoy it too.

Once again, no pics, so here is a blurry screen shot of a vid

But hot dang, Pokey Lafarge really put on a show this time around. He got the crowd standing within the first song, which is a big feat at The Waldo, because it is a completely seated auditorium that feels pretty traditional and formal. Apparently no other band has gotten people up and dancing, but somehow Pokey had just about  the whole place dancing by the 3rd or 4th song. It was truly inspiring to watch how he connected with and moved the crowd. We watched most of the show and then went back to our green room and all discussed as a band what we would like to change and improve about our set. It was a nice brainstorm session, and cool to realize how far we’ve come, and we are now focusing on bigger picture performance ideas rather than just individual song arrangements.

We had a lovely time at the merch table after with many friends and family members, and sold lots of shirts and cds.

We took a group picture on stage with the whole crew at the end, and Pokey gave me the band’s stage flowers :)

And that is a wrap for tour. What an awesome time it was. So thankful we got to go on this journey and meet so many wonderful people and see so many old friends.

Stay tuned for the next tour —
